I have a big problem getting firmware update to SP 5.3 to start updating. Replaced the EEPROM on the solderside of the mainboard did not change anything. Reset everything to factory settings does not help, also. The drive seems ok, and also the navigation data will be correctly loaded from it. I even know the engineering menu and the buttons to start it manually, but pushing them does not help, it does not start either.Ĭhanged the DVD drive to a spare one, but no luck. I have a broken DVD Travelpilot NX here on my desk and the issues seems software errors and well known (stops navigation after a while, turn off display after a while but playing radio, does not poweron with ignition, looses navigation targets, etc.).
